Buckskin
Scout Reservation is located 12 miles from Marlinton, West Virginia, on Route 28
in Pocahontas County. Dilley’s Mill is approximately 2,000 acres of
woodlands and meadows in the mountains surrounded by Seneca State Forest and
Monongahela National Forest.
A Nationally Accredited Camp, the camp is operated by Buckskin Council, B.S.A., as the long-term camping facility for Boy Scouts each summer.
A wide variety of year round activities are available including: a 17 acre
lake for swimming, boating, canoeing, sailing and fishing, 17 tent campsites,
dining hall and several other activity buildings. The Greenbrier River on the western edge of the camp affords great opportunities for troops to have an overnight adventure.
Deer, raccoons, squirrels, foxes, birds and other wildlife inhabit this beautiful and rustic site nestled in some of the most scenic hills and valleys in the eastern part of the United States. The camp features twenty campsites located in woodland settings, with two-man tents, modern shower facilities and a modern central dining hall.
Dilley’s Mill is located near Snowshoe and Silver Creek Ski Resorts, Cass
Scenic Railroad, and Greenbank Space Observatory. |
