Camp Arrowhead Continuous Summer Camp Weekend 3

Camp Arrowhead Presents The Continuous Summer Camp!

CONTINUOUS SUMMER CAMP  is a new way of doing summer camp.  It uses a long-weekend format rather than the traditional week-long camp. Troops arrive on Thursday evening (check-in is 6pm-9pm) and camp through the Sunday Highlight Event (about 4pm).  They may camp one, two or all three weekends and attending 2 weekends give the youth the same time in camp as  a week-long camp.

The emphasis is on the Patrol Method, youth leadership, traditional Scout skills and inter-patrol activities. There will also be opportunities for scouts to work on skill awards (like Paul Bunyan or Mile Swim) and merit badges. Each weekend has a different emphasis. While the program targets a certain age group each weekend, scouts of all ages will find something to do every weekend.

We designed this program for Troops to attend all three weekends but scouts may attend only one or two weekends.  This is also a good way to “clean-up” open merit badges from week long camps.

We are trying to hold the cost per camper down, so dining hall service will not be provided. Troops will cook all meals in their campsites, which also provides cooking advancement opportunities.

Camping Fee is $20.00 Per Camper Per Weekend!!!    No charge for Adult Leaders!

WEEKEND 1 - June 27-30  Emphasis on New Scouts through 1st class.
