Beginning immediately, registration is open for Webelos Activity Badge College 2008. This event is open to all registered webelos scouts. four different activity badges are being offered this year. The cost is $10.00 per scout if registered before February 29th and $15.00 for late registration (Lunch included).
Adult training will be offered, classes and times will be announced at a later date. Adult lunches will be available for $5- orders must be placed during morning registration. AED & CPR Training will be offered to Adult Scouters during the afternoon session for only $1.00 to cover the cost of the card.

ONLY REGISTERED SCOUTS AND SCOUTERS MAY REGISTER FOR ANY OF THE ITEMS LISTED FOR THIS EVENT!
Remember – It’s Mandatory that all Leaders are trained!
I. Activity Badge College Headquarters will be in the Deans Conference Room – Room 100. If you should encounter any problems throughout the day, please report to Headquarters for assistance.
II. Abide by the Scout Oath and Law at all times.
III. Food and beverages are not allowed in the classrooms.
IV. Do not leave the college building unless you have officially checked out at activity Badge College HQ.
V. It is imperative that you stay with your den. At lunch you must stay in your dens. Do not leave the college building for any reason. If you should get separated from your group, report to Merit Badge HQ for assistance.
VI. Properly wear your “Cub Scout uniform throughout the day.
VIII. Checkout (At the end of the day, Scouts will be in the auditorium waiting for pick up. Scouts will need to be signed out at by Parent/Guardian at Merit Badge Headquarters).

pre-requisites signed by their Leader.

Webelos Activity Badge College 2008
What: Activity Badge College: A chance for Scouts to earn 4 activity Badges in one day.
Adult Training: Boy Scout Leaders Essentials, Cub Scout Leader Training, Venture Leaders Training, AED and CPR Training.
Where: Southern WV Community and Technical College Logan Campus. From Charleston: Take Rt. 119 South towards Logan. After the Wal-Mart intersection, take the next exit to the right. Turn left at traffic light. Travel approximately 1.55 miles to next traffic light and turn right at this exit (Mud Fork Road Exit). Then turn right at the bottom of the exit. The college will be on the right.
When: March 8th 2008 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Who: All Webelos from any council who want to earn 4 activity badges from Instructors at SWVCTC or a Council selected merit badge counselor.
Deadline: Registration is $10.00 and ends February 29th (includes lunch). After February 29th the fee is $15.00 (includes lunch). No refunds will be given. Classes will be limited, so register early!

Participation: HQ will be in the Deans Conference Room. Parking is located in the front and in the back of the college, and in front and beside of the Administration Building.
Uniform: All Scouts are asked to wear their Uniform. Members of the press and College Administrators will be invited so you must look your best !

10:00 - 10:55 First class
11:00 - 11:50 Second class
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (SWVCC STUDENT UNION)

2:00 - 2:55 Fourth class
3:10 - 3:30 Closing ceremonies in theater
Costs: The cost for registration is $10.00 before February 29th (Includes lunch). After February 29th the cost will be $15.00 (includes lunch).
If Adults wish to purchase lunch, their cost will be $5.00 and will need to pay and order their lunch during morning registration.
Adults who wish to become certified in CPR and AED, the cost will be
$ 1.00 to cover the cost of the certification card.
Your Responsibilities:
Scouts will travel about the campus as dens. It is imperative that scouts remain in their den. Scouts will remain in their den at all times. Scouts need to remember that they are representing the Boy Scouts of America, Buckskin Council, our Chief Cornstalk District, and the sponsoring institution.
Webelos Scouts are to be picked up from their dens at 3:30 pm in the Theater. Webelos Scouts will not be unsupervised and waiting for you outside the building for pick up. Please come inside!
Adult Activities:
Adult Training will be offered in the following disciplines: Boy Scout, Cub, Venture New Leaders Essentials, Boy Scout Leader Training, Cub Scout Essential Training, and Venture Training. AED & CPR Training will be offered to adults in the Afternoon.
If requested and enough adults who choose not to participate in the above activities the District Webmaster will have a short adult Computer Class. The focus of which would be online safety for you and your children, but he will gladly answer any other questions you have about your computer and the Internet as well.
