  • 2019 Northern Tier Canoe Trek

    Canoe through the boreal forest of waterfalls and bogs, bears and wolves, granite crags and waist-deep mud. The Northern Tier remains nearly as much of a wilderness as it was for the fur traders who explored the area in the 1600s.
  • Friends of Scouting Luncheon

    This year we are thrilled to be honoring Patrick & Jessica Graney with the “GOOD SCOUTER” award for their exceptional service and leadership to young people, communities and country. In addition to honoring the Graney’s, we are delighted to have WVU Director of Athletics Shane Lyons as our guest speaker as we celebrate the 100th anniversary.

  • Range Master Course and Range Safety Officer Training Courses Offered

    Shooting Sports is one of a Scout's favorite activities at camp. Help us make that excitement possible! The council Shooting Sports Committee is offering these training courses: Range Master Training on March 23rd, April 6th & May 11th Range Safety Officer Course on May 4th.
  • The Amazing Race Camporee Promises Great Fun for Troops!

    The 100th anniversary of the Buckskin Council has arrived! In celebration of our 100th Anniversary, Buckskin Council will hold a Centennial Camporee. We are looking forward to a great camporee and hope that you will join us at Camp Kootaga on April 26-28, 2019! The cost per person is $17.
  • Cub Scout Day Camp - One Hundred Years of Buckskin Council!

    It’s a fun and exciting camp experience! Cub Scout day camp gets Cub Scouts outside doing activities with friends and it’s the first step in the camping progression. Scouts spend each day visiting a variety of program stations. It’s a place for Cub Scouts to test themselves, participate in new activities, make new friends and learn something along the way and have a TON OF FUN.

  • Outdoor Leader Training Scheduled at Camp Chief Logan

    Chief Cornstalk District will be hosting Outdoor Leader Training at BSA Camp Chief Logan on May 10 - 11 2019; all interested Scout leaders and Venturing Crews are welcome. The training will include all the material in BALOO and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills. Participants will be certified in one or the other upon completion of the course.
  • Scouts BSA Summer Camp 2019 at Camp Kootaga
