Camp Kootaga
Wilderness First Aid training will be offered at Camp Kootaga this spring. This training is required for units taking backcountry trips and excursions. “Backcountry” is defined as anywhere that medical care is more than one hour away.
The training is April 17-18 at Camp Kootaga and is available for adults and scouts who are at least 14 years old.
The fee is $100. Cost includes lodging, cracker barrel on Friday evening, continental breakfast on Saturday, Saturday lunch and dinner. We suggest that you eat dinner on Friday evening before arriving. For those who wish to stay overnight, arrangements can be made for lodging. Plan to arrive and check in by 6:00 pm on Friday.
As part of the training, participants will also receive CPR/AED certification. The class is limited to the first 25 who register.
